Here are a couple rare figs that I'll be painting up as Red Scorpions. The first one is a OOP marine captain that was last seen in the Black Templars Codex (that old). I love the head, now they got plastic versions of it. The robe was painted blue and was going to be a space shark, but didn't want it so monochrome. So painted the shoulder tirm yellow and put him back down.
The second you may recognize as the FW boarding marine I put the sword to the Emperors Champion on him. It's honestly one of the coolest swords and could easily count as a relic blade. I am going the the whole captain/veteran white helmet thing. Hope you guys like them!

ReplyDeleteThe white helmets will look good on the command models and help break up the grey. Liking all your work so far, the robe on your captain is amazing!
Also which force will be your main one, the Space Sharks or the Red Scorpions??
@ Silar: I was just talking with a friend about that too. My chapter ADD an all. My 8 year old really loves green and we are making a Salamander force to him, but I really wanted to do some of the diff Badab chapters. He suggested I make up a strike force with a squad or two from most of the chapters. I'll be doing it up to take to the 11th Co. Tournament in November.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of a landing platform display board, with them all getting prepped to make an assault. Lot of details to work out with the board and what squads will be what chapter. Main force will be Salamanders leading it, with other contingents. Really excited about this, more to come.
